DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Machame Gate to Machame Camp (Day Hike)

Your day begins with a hotel pick-up and transfer to Machame Gate. After registration, the hike starts through the lush rainforest, where you’ll walk under a thick canopy of ancient trees and moss-covered branches.

The trail is filled with beautiful scenery, including giant ferns, wildflowers, and the sound of birds. If you’re lucky, you might see monkeys swinging through the trees. As you go higher, the forest begins to open up, revealing incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

You’ll hike towards Machame Camp, reaching an elevation of 3,000m/9,840ft before taking a break to enjoy the mountain’s peaceful environment. After some rest and lunch, you’ll descend back to Machame Gate, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
